Cookie Policy

This page describes how ExpressCSV uses cookies, local storage, IndexedDB, and similar tracking or storage technologies across the website, application, and embedded importer.
What we use
ExpressCSV uses a combination of first-party and third-party technologies for:
- keeping the service running
- authenticating users and maintaining sessions
- detecting errors and abuse
- understanding product usage
- enabling support chat and scheduling
- optionally restoring in-progress importer sessions in the browser
Categories of technologies
Strictly necessary
These technologies help the service work and cannot reasonably be disabled without affecting core functionality.
Examples include:
- authentication and session management
- security and anti-abuse controls
- billing flows
- importer auth tokens and operational event delivery
- local browser storage used to restore interrupted importer sessions when that feature is enabled by the embedding application
Analytics and diagnostics
These technologies help us understand product usage and diagnose problems.
Examples include:
- PostHog for product analytics
- Sentry for error monitoring, performance traces, and selected replay diagnostics
We have reduced these payloads to avoid sending raw CSV cell values, worksheet names, file names, and raw email fallback identifiers where they are not needed.
Support and communications
These technologies help users contact us or book time with us.
Examples include:
- Crisp for support chat
- Cal.com for meeting scheduling
Payments
These technologies support subscriptions, invoices, and checkout.
Examples include:
- Stripe
Importer-specific browser storage
When the embedding application enables session saving, the importer may store in-progress review data in the browser using IndexedDB so a user can recover an interrupted import later.
That browser-side storage is controlled by the browser environment on the user device. Clearing browser site data or using the importer/session controls provided by the product can remove it.
How to manage these technologies
ExpressCSV provides an in-product Privacy Preferences control that lets users choose whether optional analytics, diagnostics, and support chat load in that browser.
You can manage these technologies by:
- opening Privacy Preferences from the website footer or in-app navigation
- rejecting optional technologies or saving custom preferences in that dialog
- adjusting your browser settings
- clearing site data or browser storage
- using vendor opt-out controls where available
- contacting us at care@expresscsv.com
Strictly necessary technologies remain enabled because they are required for authentication, security, billing, and core product operation.
